Lorenzo Wobben next to being a industrial design student living life to the fullest. Check out his story.
Can you give us a quick intro about yourselves?
Hello world, my name is Lorenzo, 21 years on this planet and I love to surf! I have been raised by my Italian mom and South African dad on a little Island in the Netherlands. This might sound like a weird combination, but things work out perfectly,... most of the time ;). Nowadays I spend my time studying at the technical university of Delft and travel around the globe to enjoy water sports, food, culture and country. If the waves are flat or the wind has dropped, I like to stay active and train a lot… I’m the kind of guy who can’t sit still.
When did you hear about The Bamboo Brush Society?
I think it was maybe two years ago, can that be right? Yeah I think so! I saw the brushes in the surfshop where I was working and I needed a nice little Father's Day present. I bought two that day and I didn’t stop using the bamboo brushes ever since.
What do you think of the Bamboo toothbrush?
It gives you the green, clean, smiling experience! Now I completely understand why pandas are looking so cheerful on all these Facebook videos.
You have travelled a lot around the world, what is the best spot you have brushed your teeth yet?
Morocco,... yeah definitely Morocco! The water quality is so bad there that every time I got out of the water from another great surfsession, I immediately started brushing my teeth. Nevertheless the view while brushing is amazing! Camels there could use a brush too ;).
What project you are working on are you most excited about?
I built a kiteboarding slider a few days ago, great disaster. Next project: I’ll travel to France in a few days, give surfing lessons to a Dutch National Judoka Champion a.k.a. one of my best friends, than trying to not get strangled in one of his ippon kinda moves. If I survive that I’ll leave for Portugal, there I’ll try to combine surfing and studying for half a year. With focus on surfing of course.
If you would be in charge of taking care of our beloved planet tomorrow? Which 4 persons would you pick to help you lead? (can be anyone in the world)
Tell us your best travel story?
Trying to live in a Dodge Van with a broken V8 engine and still being able to cruise around while getting the engine running with some start cables. I became an automotive engineer in just a few hours. I’ve been fixing cars ever since.
Any books, documentaries, films or series you lately watched and like to recommend?
My dad always had a subscription to the National Geographic, I recommend that magazine to everyone who’s interested in things that spin on this planet, fidget spinner excluded. By the way for the non-readers out there, they include good photographs as well.
Share your best photo on your phone ! Make us laugh
Whaha, I have so many!
Last question… What is the number one place you like to go travel to?
Any place is perfect as long as they have McDonalds nice barreling waves and if there is room for my friends.
