Can you give us a quick intro about yourselves?
“Hi, my name is Pepijn and I’ve been surfing for over 15 years now in a Dutch town called Scheveningen. What you have to know about me is that I love to have fun and that I’m super curious about doing and learning new things.”
When did you hear about The Bamboo Brush Society?
“I was on a surfing trip somewhere warm and saw a friend using this cool looking toothbrush. So I asked her what it was made of. When I heard it was bamboo I thought that was so cool, I didn’t understand why everybody wasn’t using this.”
What do you think of the Bamboo toothbrush?
“It’s something so obvious to use because it’s recyclable. If there’s something we can better in our daily lives, we should! It’s So easy to buy a bamboo brush instead of a plastic one. It even looks cooler too! Everyone wants to know what it is.”

You have travelled a lot around the world, what is the best spot you have brushed your teeth yet?
“More than once I’ve brushed my teeth next to the car looking at a perfect wave. On a hill, on the beach, or on the rocks.”
What project you are working on this year are you most excited about?
“Right now I’m focusing on my study skills. Hopefully, more fun projects are coming. ;-)”
If you would be in charge of taking care of our beloved planet tomorrow? Which 4 persons would you pick to help you lead? (can be anyone in the world)
“This is a hard one. Julia van Rooij is the most positive environmental enthusiast I know. We would also need a good strategy and I’ve been following Steven Bartlett over the last year. His marketing skills will get the message everywhere. (Search him for some life / business inspiration)”
Tell us your best travel story?
“Last year I fell in love with a part of the world that I hadn’t visited yet: The Algarve (South Portugal). I travelled through Portugal a lot before, but this place is really amazing. So much natural beauty in the sea, the people, the food, and the weather. A perfect combination for someone who is used to cold and grey weather with just plain and boring food. It's nothing like the north of Portugal and it surprised me how beautiful Europe can be. I CAN NOT wait to go back to that place in the near future!”
Any books, documentaries, films or series you lately watched and like to recommend?
“It’s weird to say, but I’ve been listening to the podcast from the CEO of Social Chain (biggest social media company in the UK), Steven Bartlett. This guy has it figured out and puts his deepest thoughts on the podcast. Wisdom, inspiration, and an extreme sense of intrinsic motivation can be heard throughout his podcast: “The diary of a ceo” (on soundcloud).”

Last question… What is the number one place you like to go travel to?
“I’d really like to go to Mexico, one of those countries of which I know almost nothing except that’s it’s crazy beautiful and full of good stories and perfect waves. ;)
Thanks a lot! This has been fun. See you soon!”
